ABOUT THE ROLE

All of our most successful Recruitment Consultants started out as trainees at RED and worked their way up through our industry-leading training and development programme. As a result of several promotions in the business we are now looking to hire the next wave of future superstars into our Trainee Recruitment Consultant programme.

During your training period, we'll be working closely with you to ensure that you develop the core skills that you'll need to become a top-performing and high-earning recruiter. You'll start off by gaining a deep knowledge of our database, and then you'll move on to working with candidates.

Your role will be to contact our customer base by telephone to ensure that the information we hold on each person is up to date, accurate and complete, and also to identify and contact new candidates to add to our database. This will include obtaining their current CV, understanding their requirements for a new role and explaining why RED are the best company to assist them in their job search, so excellent listening and communication skills are essential. The quality and accuracy of our candidate information is absolutely critical in allowing us to provide an excellent service to all of our customers and in making sure that we can beat our competition every time, so our Trainee Recruitment Consultants add real value to the organisation whilst building up valuable recruitment skills.

This is an entry level role which provides the perfect platform to anyone wishing to pursue a career in sales or recruitment, and offers a whole host of exciting and lucrative career options in the future.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contact our existing customers by telephone to gather all the information we require, including their CV and their requirements for a new role
  • Utilise a range of online networking sites (including LinkedIn and Xing) to identify and approach potential new candidates to add to our database
  • Refer new and existing candidates to the correct member of the Sales team so that they can be shortlisted for open roles which suit their requirements
  • Provide phone support for candidates looking for SAP jobs
  • Ensure that the information on our database is correct across all fields, and identify and correct any errors made by other users
  • Check and remove duplicate or incorrect customer records

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

You'll spend most of your time on the phone so excellent listening and communication skills are essential, and a good understanding of social media and networking sites such as LinkedIn or Facebook is also incredibly useful. You'll need to be computer literate, organised and able to work under pressure, and we'll need you to demonstrate strong attention to detail as well. We work in a fast-paced and dynamic commercial environment so you'll need to show that you are smart, savvy and polished. It would be great if you have previous experience working in a sales or customer service role, although if you haven't done so then that's fine too. Oh, and our perfect candidate will be able to play Mario Kart without screaming in frustration and throwing the controller across the floor when they lose. Just saying.
