SAP Release Analyst

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to provide support for the release management organisation for upcoming projects as well as operational releases. The resource will assist day to day in tracking and reporting on progress of change requests across projects and organisations.

Mandatory Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (emphasis on ChaRM)
  • Analytical background
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience on an ERP Project

Major Accountabilities

  • Support leads in developing and maintaining multiple trackers in Excel to assist in providing status of Releases/Test Cycles/Defects
  • Support leads in performing integrity checks on defects, enhancements, change requests, change documents, and other product tool-sets
  • Contribute to preparation of presentations, workshops and meetings
  • Support leads in maintaining respective SharePoint Portals
  • Assist in communications to project team members
  • Support testing of new tools used in support of the project
  • Track deliverables and timelines as needed
  • Preparation of Release Scope and Release Report documents
  • Review status of testing and defects

Optional Skills

  • SAP Configuration experience
  • SAP Development Experience
  • Release and/or Change Management role in the past

Functional/technical know-how:

Knowledge of GxP and Computerised System Validation (CSV)

Knowledge of SAP R/3 module related to migration objects in scope

Experience in change and release management

Experience in global SAP template rollouts

Nice to have:

- Experience in SAP Development and/or Configuration

Languages:

  • Fluency in English essential
  • Other languages a plus

Experience/Professional Requirement:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in SAP
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organisation
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team environment
