SAP Operations Manager

Location: West Yorkshire, England Salary: £60000 - £70001 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Manage small SAP projects/ Cross team architecture and offshore integration with 3rd party factories
  • Delivery of the overall technical test and code QA of external suppliers, including development and execution of a test quality management framework
  • Ensure high utilization and maximize cost recovery, across the SAP teams by continually matching resource supply with project demand and providing alignment to the SAP Business Case
  • Management of SAP cross project SAP/vendor deliverables, such as Retrofit
  • Relationship with SAP(the Vendor themselves)
  • Interaction with the Projects and Programmes to improve processes
  • Continually assess the skills of the employees to meet business demand, strategy, and utilization targets.
  • Interface to IBM and other 3rd parties to ensure correct and consolidated processes are followed
  • Senior stakeholder management for requirements into the SAP relating to technical testing
  • Defining the SAP testing strategy including test quality standards, test methods and assurance for applications and infrastructure testing
  • Delivery and development of SAP technical tooling and management information

  • Analyse situations, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions within standards (where applicable)
  • Interpret guidelines and analyse factual information to adapt or modify processes in response to changing circumstances.
  • Duties may require non-routine analysis, research and follow-through.
  • Financial responsibility will include working within a budget to complete projects, negotiating and contracting with vendors, assisting with budget development, and meeting
  • of SAP commercial targets.

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong supplier relationship management experience and skills, including planning and delivering continual improvement in testing, testing performance quality management and input to the commercial management process.
  • Strong experience in SAP code review coordination and setup.
  • Minimum of 2 of years' experience working within a regulated industry utilising SAP systems.
  • Ability to develop and manage the process for software testing in areas such as Quality Assurance, and test phase delivery within SAP projects and programmes.
  • Significant experience of managing technical resources within a SAP system, including support and development services.
  • Significant experience of managing of SAP experts comprising of permanent, contractor, onshore and offshore resources.
  • Managing other members of the team to deliver testing improvements across the SAP CC.
  • Extensive experience in successful engagement with senior business representatives and IT stakeholders for key matters relating to SAP Operations and testing.
  • Complex problem solving and strong analytical skills in regards to policies, practices, procedures and priorities.
  • Very strong consulting and communication skills.
  • Significant Multi-vendor supplier management at a senior level.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Professional SAP certification in a least one area of consultancy.
  • Knowledge of current trends in SAP and utilities.
  • Demonstrated successful experience aligning SAP applications and business requirements.
  • Familiarity with support and troubleshooting of process and delivery issues.
  • Must have a strong dedication to quality, customer service and on time delivery.
