**SAP BASIS Consultant required**

Our client, a global, market-leading manufacturing company with a portfolio of industry leading brands and a global workforce of 20,000+ are looking for a SAP Basis Consultant to joining their ever-expanding internal team based in Buckinghamshire, UK.

They are looking to recruit an SAP Basis Consultant to support their SAP infrastructure projects and day-to-day basis activities. Alongside fellow SAP experts and their 3rd-party hosting partners you will manage the SAP BASIS requirements in non-production and production environments as well as support the SAP focused projects European wide.


  • Management of SAP hosting partners
  • Point of contact for production SAP Basis incidents
  • Analyze the current SAP environment, identify system incompatibilities or shortcomings and provide potential improvements suggestions
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting the SAP systems for health and performance issues
  • Batch jobs controlling
  • Transport Management
  • Implementing SAP OSS Notes
  • Manage and support SAP Add-Ons and Support Packages implementation
  • Manage and support SAP Portal SCPI related implementations
  • Support of SAP archive link and the d.velop d.3ecm optical archive
  • Demonstrate flexibility and support for objectives / tasks of other IT organisations
  • Collaborate with other expert teams


  • 5+ Year SAP Basis administration experience
  • 3+ years of experience with database tools
  • Software installation administration and backup restore experience
  • Experience with third-party SAP hosting
  • Ideally Authorization Management - Roles and Profile definition
  • Ideally experience in Managed File Transfer
  • Ideally SAP Archive Link experience
  • Motivation to explore new technologies (Cloud, Fiori etc.)
  • Able to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team
  • Good interpersonal communication with the ability to develop effective working relationships within a European environment
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess a high degree of initiative and lots of enthusiasm
  • Fluent in English, German language skills beneficial
