Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and optimise the flow of value through the release train
  • Facilitate PI planning readiness, through the preparation of Vision & Backlogs, and via Pre-& Post-PI planning meetings
  • Facilitate the PI objective scoring sessions and communicate these accordingly for full visibility and transparency
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to epics
  • Coach Programme level, feature teams and Scrum Masters in Agile, Scrum and SAFE practices and mindsets
  • Manage risks and dependencies, and ensure all key stakeholders have full visibility of these on a regular basis
  • Escalate and track impediments
  • Provide input and recommendations on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
  • Actively encourage collaboration between teams, VSO's, Delivery Leads and Solution Architects to ensure roadmaps are achievable and realistic
  • Help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Improve the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and Dev Ops
  • Facilitate System Demos
  • Help improve the communities of practice and the use of engineering and built-in quality principles
  • Share knowledge and ideas across the growing Release Train Engineer community
  • Facilitate training and knowledge transfer sessions of both Agile & SAFE across both existing teams and new release trains across the client site
