IRIS Support Analyst / 6 months / London / Start ASAP

The IRIS (International Reinsurance and Insurance System) Support Analyst works as part of the US Claims Application Support Team to ensure the smooth functioning and availability of IRIS.

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables:

 Serve as a subject matter expert for IRIS, to include administration and configuration modifications
 Triage and troubleshoot IRIS issues on both the iSeries and .Net platforms
 Draft and execute SQL queries to extract information and analyse data troubleshoot system issues
 Ensure operational risk controls are in accordance with regulatory standards and policies
 Monitor IRIS system performance in order to ensure uptime for the business.
 Resolve errors in IRIS through modification of configuration settings or consulting with the vendor (DXC/Xchanging) for additional assistance.
 Liaise with product vendor and IT partner teams to resolve issues as needed
 Work closely with Technical Operations Team members to plan and deploy upgrades / enhancements to IRIS
 Participate in migration/development projects as requested, to include Integration and User Acceptance Testing
 Key member of combined IT and business disaster recovery team
 Successfully process all IRIS daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly jobs
 Author and maintain technical and support procedures' documentation
 Assist users with questions and issues channelled through the ServiceNow ticket process
 Document ServiceNow ticket resolutions as well as any new processes that arise in order to provide IT with reference material for any future occurrence
 Execute iSeries queries on demand for audit and control processes to facilitate operational integrity

Person Specification:

 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
 3+ years of relevant IT work experience
 Knowledge and understanding of general infrastructure components
 Familiarity with data security best practices
 Basic experience with disaster recovery planning
 Working knowledge of industry practices such as ITIL for service management
 Knowledge of the reinsurance / insurance industry is preferred
