RED Executive is delighted to be working with a global manufacturing business to recruit - a Head of/ Lead Solution Architect with a focus on Data & Integration (API-LED) topics, located in Bavaria on a permanent full-time basis. Key Role Purpose:
- Leading the definition and maintenance of the overall integration patterns and principles for unifying applications across the organisation and other third-party solutions based on Data Hub and API-LED approach
- Management of the overall reliance of data assets and monitoring their performance
- Orchestration of key integration projects and coordination of strategies between development and business teams
- Overall integration principles and patterns definition
- Assuring the integration scenarios are aligned to the global strategy prior deployment
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining the integration processes and standards to facilitate and support integration projects based on Data-Hub and API-LED approach
- Ensuring the integration practices and planning are aligned with the organisation's overall strategic vision and its strategic business goals
- Maintaining and designing the overall common data access models in close cooperation with the Enterprise Architect and Global Process Owner - Data
- Defining the main principles for the orchestration of API-LED delivery on the respective platform in terms of resource technical consumption, based on priority and data assets usage
- Solution Design of Metrics and KPIs (overarching) to analyse the usage and adoption of the data integration points
- Further operational management responsibilities such as: monitoring integration scenarios, supervising solution architecture (integration), leading integration testing phases to identify potential issues, and others.
Key Requirements:
- Several years of experience as a Solution Architect, focused on developing integration patterns, ideally for Data Hub and API Based approaches
- Comprehensive knowledge and ability to define integration strategies
- Strong experience in implementation of integration patterns and solution design
- Experience in people management and leadership (in particular leading teams - functionally) as well as building global virtual teams
- Ability to lead conferences, evaluate complex situations, and make critical decisions
- Excellent mediation skills and ability to persuade/negotiate with others in a situation of conflict
- Sufficient know-how in scope management and good requirements engineering
- University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Active driver of change with can-do attitude
- Active engagement of all relevant stakeholders, communication skills for all hierarchy levels, can talk business and can talk IT
- Fluent English skills, German language is an advantage
